Short intro:
After hearing aids and a long (or quick) slide to deafness, I was recently implanted with some cool 21st century technology, and it was turned on yesterday. Today I'm hearing again, and only now realizing just how far things had deteriorated previously.
This tech isn't unknown and others have written about it, but this is here for my friends and hearing loss compatriots who've been inquisitive about my own personal experience. More soon!
